The strings I switched this month
Re-stringing my classical guitar for the first time. The cello took two attempts. Notes for next year-me.
I'm Luna, 16. I play guitar most evenings - recently I started teaching my dad. Cello when there's a school concert, ballet on Tuesdays, tennis on weekends, cricket when the season allows. This term I'm reading astrophysics and quantum computing - and gave a class talk on false vacuum decay (it's below).

Photos I keep when I miss being outside at night. Slowly captioned. The Milky Way ones never get old.
Quantum tunneling, the Higgs field, why the universe might not be as stable as it looks. Title slide below - message me if you want the full deck.
I made it to walk my class through quantum tunneling, the Higgs field, and the (slightly unsettling) idea that the universe might be sitting in a local minimum rather than a true one.
"It can sit there and appear stable, but it's not the lowest possible energy state."- from the deckwant the full deck? message me →
Guitar, cello, ballet, tennis. Honest about what's hard, what's clicking, what I'm avoiding.
Guitar every evening
Classical, every evening. Currently in rotation: The Script, Ed Sheeran, Noah Kahan, Gracie Abrams, Olivia Rodrigo. Latest pickup: Drop Dead, learnt the day it dropped about a week ago. Recently started teaching my dad; he won't stop complaining about his fingertips. Somehow we now own five capos at home - four turned up in random drawers, one is still missing.
Cricket U16 UK · 2025
National champions with the school side last summer. Still riding it. Off-spinner who occasionally bats up the order.
Cello
On the back burner - I pick it up around school concerts and lessons. Classical only.
Ballet
T/Th. Three years in. I've made peace with no natural turnout.
Tennis
Weekend league. Backhand finally consistent. Serve has opinions about wind.
I've been a bookworm forever. During COVID lockdowns I went through a stretch of one book a day. These days I'm slowly trading fiction for physics - though the fiction shelf isn't going anywhere.
Want my full reading list (or what's actually on the bedside table right now)? message me.
Photos I've saved from photographers I admire - kept here so I can find them again. Each one slowly captioned.
